I’M TOO HIGH

Hello World my name is VGair and at first I was affliated with MISFT but yesterday they made me an official MISFIT and what better way to celebrate my introduction to MISFIT is with a post.

With the emergence of the Supra Skytop in late 07- early 08 the new trend in sneakers seems to be the HIGHEST of High-tops. I give credit to Supra for being pioneers of this trend, but other brand are starting to take notice. Jordan brand began releasing the classic Air Jordan I even higher and even added a strap. Nike has will this footrace with the upcoming release of the Air Yeezy. Though the Yeezys have been the talk of hypebeasts for over a year now I think Kanye’s other contribution to footwear this year is better executed. His Louis Vuitton collabo will yield many style’s of shoes, one of which is a double strapped hightop. One major problem is the price point. Though you may be buying them because of Kanye’s part of the collaboration, you still have to pay the Louis Vuitton price. Look for these to hit you for at least $600. This is the price we pay, but ITS WHATEVER.

Even with Kanye as a front man, I still think Nike I still have Supra highest in the standings. The Skytop has hit it’s stride and with the upcoming colorways I think it’s safe to say the Skytop is on top of its game. Supra also has the upcoming release of the TK Society which sets a new high for the tongue. With a May 1st release date I think this newbie will take over the top spot and keep the Yeezys in check.

At what point does high become too high? If this trend continues, by 2010 I see guys walking around in knee-high sneakers. Some feel that the Society is pushing it, but I think it is the highest anyone should go.

  1. Interesting and informative content.

I just wanted to share some piece of information for those looking out to buy exercise shoes. It’s very important to shop for the right shoes without being carried away by the mirrors, lights, great displays and other such luring factors where you often tend to forget the comfort of the shoe.

Make sure you wear thick socks or those that you often wear for exercising so that you get the right size shoe. Another interesting point to notice is that our feet tend to swell a bit in the evening so buying shoes during evening is the ideal time as this will help you buy the shoe for the maximum foot size. Most important of all is don’t go by the pricing of the shoes while buying them. A high price does not always mean top quality. The price tends to be higher since the shoes are endorsed by reputed personalities. Buy your shoes based on the frequency of usage. If you are in a regular exercise routine, then you can consider extending your budget.
